The cycle tour starts in Halmstad where you follow the cycle path Hylte-slingan further east to Hylte, the only inland municipality in county Halland. It also makes a turn into Astrid Lindgrens county Småland.

Along the tour you will experience big forests, lakes, active entrepreneurs with varied accommodations and good food. You will smell the wild air from the forests, lakes and the meadows and on some of the distances only birds singing and leaves rustling in the wind. And of course the sound of the swish from the bicycle wheels! In late summer or in the autumn there is plenty of mushrooms to pick (as long as you have the knowledge to pick only the eatable ones). If you are lucky you can see deers, mooses, hares and other small wild animals from your bicycle saddle. 

Most of the accommodations also rent out canoes or boats and offer possibilities for fishing or baths in hot tubs.

Stay an extra night before start or after arrival and experience the small town Halmstad. Have a good night´s sleep at a hotel near the center and the train station and prepair for tomorrow´s adventure.

Day 1
Halmstad - Torup, approx. 39 km
You start your tour in Halmstad and cycle directly in the north/east direction through the countryside. Some distances you will follow the river Nissan as it bendsits way through the landscape. Accommodation in an inn from the 1800s in Torup. Here you can take a sauna by the lake, if you want to relax after the first day of cycling.

Day 2

Torup - Tiraholm, approx. 55 km
You cycle further east passing small villages as Rydöbruk, a former industrial community now a center for leisure and culture with a beautiful golf course. After that you cycle through Hyltebruk, once established around a great paper mill. Accommodation at a hotel by the lake Bolmen in idyllic surroundings. The forest, the lake, the fields and the meadows - all of it form a peaceful coulisse to your stay. Here you also find a bath tub, a farm shop and a fish restaurant with products from their own fishing in lake Bolmen. 

Day 3

Tiraholm - Knallhult, ca 35 km
You cycle further on through woodlands but you will also find places for coffee or lunch along your tour. Among other places you will pass Unnaryd, a small village with old cultural traditions and Femsjö where Elias Fries, a mycologist was born and acted. Accommodation at a small pension by a lake in the very small place, Knallhult. You will soon find out that your hosts also are the owners of a sawmill! Sauna, hot tub, fishing equipment, canoes and boats are available for rent.

Day 4

Knallhult - Halmstad, approx. 41 km
Today the tours continue back south to Halmstad. You will pass the scenic Simlångsdalen that offers fine opportunities for lunch. The last trip back to Halmstad you will follow an old railway.
