For you who want to cycle at your own pace without any pressure and with plenty of time for experiences during the tour.


Helsingborg is also very easy to reach from Copenhagen, Denmark. Just over one hour with the train directly from Copenhagen Airport. 

We have done our best to set you up for a memorable cycling holiday in South West Sweden.
- Varied accommodations, all with good standard, from small B&B to "glitz and glamour" at top class hotels. 
- Your luggage will be taken care of and will be waiting for you, when you arrive to your accommodation for the night. 
- The experiences are all lined up along the route - charming cafés and restaurants, fishing villages, ports, handicraft, farm shops, castles, vineyards and much more!

Good for your well being, good for your health, good for the environment and with plenty of treats!

The roads

The route takes you on bicycle paths or side roads with little traffic as close to the coast as possible, through Skåne county´s well known and beautiful peninsulas, Kullahalvön and Bjärehalvön, Halland county´s sandy beaches and small, charming coastal towns, Halmstad, Falkenberg and Varberg and Kungsbacka. All the way in a bicycle friendly landscape without inconvenient hills with a small exception on day 2 which offers a bit more hilly landscape. Please note that some smaller parts of the distance remains to be fixed and follows roads with a bit more traffic.

If you arrive one day in advance, why not experience Helsingborg, have a good night sleep in a comfortable bed and be prepared for the tour next day? And maybe take the ferry, 20 minutes, to Helsingør, one of Denmarks charming coastal towns. Additional night in a very centrally top class hotel.

Day 1, Thursday
Helsingborg - Arild, approx. 35 km
Arrival. With the view of Denmark in the west you start your cycling north, very close to the water, Öresund. You´re passing charming, prosperous coastal villages and the town Höganäs, famous for its salt-glazed ceramics. Accommodation in a top class hotel with wonderful sea view in a small village. Free access to relaxing room.

Day 2, Friday
Arild - Ängelholm, approx. 27 km
You follow the route at the peninsula, Kullahalvön, along the bay of Skälderviken. Accommodation in a centrally situated hotel in the charming, small town Ängelholm.

Day 3, Saturday
Ängelholm - Båstad, approx. 40 km
Today you cross another of Skåne´s popular peninsulas, Bjärehalvön and follow the route to Båstad, the summer village well known for its international tennis tournament The Swedish Open. 
Accommodation in a nice pension in the small village, Båstad.  

Day 4, Sunday
Båstad - Ringenäs, approx. 48 km
The tour follows the northern coastline through pine forests, along sandy beaches and passes the town, Halmstad and its famous beach, Tylösand. (From Halmstad you can choose between cycling on the scenic "Prince Bertil´s path" even closer to the sea (10 extra km) or strictly follow the signs for Kattegattleden.)

Day 5, Monday
Ringenäs - Falkenberg, approx. 43 km
On your way north you pass nature reserves, coastal moorland and shore meadows combined with cliffs and small sandy beaches for a final stop in town Falkenberg. Accommodation in a charming hotel in the center of the small town, Falkenberg.  


Day 6, Tuesday
Falkenberg - Varberg, approx. 45 km
You ride on small side roads passing fishing villages, shore meadows and sandy beaches, as Apelviken a popular place for surfers, all year round.
Accommodation in a top class hotel situated in the middle of the town with free access to their relax
area. If you want to take extra care of your body after your cycling tour you can book treatments in the Asia Spa, directly at the hotel.

Day 7, Wednesday
Varberg - Åsa, approx. 48 km
You follow the route north passing one of Northern Europe´s finest birdsites and small fishing villages. Accommodation at a Bed & Breakfast in Åsa, a small village south of the town Kungsbacka. 

Day 8, Thursday
Åsa - Onsala/Gottskär, approx. 37 km
Today you cycle through the countryside to Kungsbacka passing some exciting tourist attractions on the way. Like Tjolöholm´s castle and Fjärås bräcka´s
  unique environment from the Iron Age. From Kungsbacka you cycle at the peninsula, Onsalahalvön. Accommodation at a nice hotel, near the sea and the small coastal village, Gottskär.

Day 9, Friday
Onsala/Gottskär - Särö, approx. 27 km
You follow the tour along the peninsula, Onsalahalvön, to the picturesque Särö with its turn of the century villas. Accommodation in a top class hotel with a wonderful sea view and with free access to their spa.

Day 10, Saturday
Särö - Göteborg, approx. 32 km
The length of your last day trip allows you to experience the second largest town in Sweden, Gothenburg. The tour ends here after arrival to Gothenburg, but why not stay an extra night? Take the chance to visit the amusement park, Liseberg, do some shopping or just rest your legs on a boat trip on the canals.

Most of your overnight stays are close to the sea. Here another top class hotel, situated in a small village, with a wonderful view of ocean Kattegatt, day 1.

Day 3 you are staying the night in a nice, cosy pension in the small village, Båstad.
Day 4 you are staying at a golf hotel with a view of the ocean and the golf course. Feel free to borrow golf clubs and test them at the driving range!

Beaches, beaches, beaches... There are a lot of them along the Kattegattleden. Here, on of the most wellknown in Sweden, Tylösand, close to Halmstad.
In the small town, Falkenberg you are staying at a nice hotel in the city, just by the river Ätran, famous for its salmon fishing, day 5.

Note that the price for the bike rental includes transporting the bikes back to Helsingborg. You don´t cycle the same distance twice - new day trips with new experiences every day! You collect the bikes in the center of Helsingborg and leave them in Gothenburg for transport back..

Maps and information will be sent to you after final payment, in good time before your arrival. Read more "Book", booking/terms and conditions. 

The tour starts in Helsingborg and ends in Gothenburg. It is easy to go back to the starting point by train or with bus in Skåne and bus in Halland when your cycle trip ends. If you are bringing your own bikes you can take them back on the train as well (only Öresundstågen).
 
It is also possible to book your personal transport from Gothenburg back to Helsingborg. Please contact us for further  information.

Luggage transportation is included. When you arrive to the different accommodations, your luggage is already there!
During summertime a lot of places arrange After Beach with live music. Here in Tylösand, close to Halmstad.
You will find many places to visit along the cycle route. Here the mill in Särdal with a café, shop and exhibition, day 5.
